Our Community Activities

As a family and as a business we have always tried to engage with our community.

Over the years, members of the Kelly Family have been active as volunteers and served on committees and boards of organizations with various missions to support groups that enhance the quality of life in our home town or surrounding areas as well as organizations with a global reach.

We have also made it a priority to seek out team members who may have difficulty getting a job.  Some people have personal circumstances that don't align with customary requirements for full-time or regular part-time work.  We have worked with a number of organizations that are focused on finding suitable employment for these individuals.  We can give them a start and they are then able to move on to other employment.  A few have stayed with us for many years.  It has been a great success for them and us.

Each year we donate snack packs of our granola to participants in the O'Neill's 5K Run which supports educational opportunities for children in the community where we operate our business.  And we are a sponsor of the annual Fairfield Half Marathon which supports a variety of local non-profits and community organizations.

One of our current priorities is to support The Pantry @ Open Doors.

Food insecurity is a critical problem that not only affects health and well-being but undermines the potential for people to lead productive lives. The Kelly family has pitched in with Open Doors of Norwalk, CT to try to address this problem in the community where we live and run our family’s granola business. We took some of the lessons learned in our own online store to create something that might enable more people to make donations in support of Open Doors' efforts to help those who are struggling to put food on their tables.

If you would like to join us in addressing this most basic of problems, visit Open Doors' online store by clicking on the link below. It really is easy to make a donation, and it really will make a big difference in someone’s life. Thanks for any support you can give to The Pantry @ Open Doors!
